5 Easy Steps to Refill a Self-Inking Stamp
Like most
stamps, a
self-inking stamp uses a stamp pad. The difference from the traditional stamp and pad is it contains an
ink pad which is assembled into the casing of the
rubber stamp. When not in use, the ink pad rests on the ink and then spins as you press on the
rubber stamp down onto the paper. When the ink runs out, DO NOT throw the empty stamp away. 5 easy steps to refill as follows:
- Push the rubber stamp down slightly, no more than a quarter of an inch.
- To secure the rubber stamp into position, push the side indents of the stamp cap while continuing to press it down.
- Locate the ink pad and push it out from the back of the rubber stamp to the front.
- Keep the ink pad horizontal. Drip five to six drops directly onto the pad.
- Slide the ink pad back into the slot on the stamp. Push the rubber stamp down onto the paper to release the button locks and to absorb any excess ink.
